The Coosa Valley Tennis Association was named Member Organization of the Year by USTA Georgia during an awards banquet this past weekend in Atlanta.

The award recognizes the CVTA’s service to the community, its members and the game of tennis. The CVTA also received a $1,208 Community Growth & Participation Grant. The grant is intended to increase participation in USTA programs and strengthen the bond between local tennis organizations and the USTA at both the state and regional levels.

Rome’s Clocktower Classic Wheelchair Tennis Championships was also recognized at the banquet as the USTA Georgia Wheelchair Tournament of the Year.
